Fall Festival Featuring Carriage Shack Farm Animals!

Join us on the library lawn to celebrate fall!

We will host a petting farm from Carriage Shack Traveling Farm School including chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits, a potbelly pig, miniature horse, ducks, and guinea hens.  Come by to interact with these delightful animal friends and stay for more fall fun!

This event will also feature:

Pumpkin painting for all ages.

Teen Tie Dye

Join us on the lawn to celebrate summer with a tie dye party!  

We will have a selection of basic white t-shirts  and pillowcases available, or attendees can bring their own item of the same approximate size to dye.  

This program is for those entering grade 5 and up.  Sign up is required here.

STEAM on the Lawn--Bird Homes

Recommended for grades K-4.

Animals build some amazing habitats.  Try your hand at creating your own nest using common materials that birds use.  We will have examples you can see!  Then, assemble and paint a wooden birdhouse to take home. Space is limited and sign-up is required. Register HERE.

STEAM on the Lawn--Constellation Circuits

Recommended for grades 2-6.

Do you ever look up at the night sky in wonder?  Our ancestors did and they spotted patterns in the sky that helped them organize and orient.  Many of the constellations they spotted are animals!  Learn about some of our animal constellations and build simple circuits to create your own light-up constellation.

STEAM on the Lawn--Hexbug Mazes

Recommended for grades 3 and up.

Build mazes and experiment to see if your Hexbug can make it through!  Supplies are limited and sign-up is required.  Register HERE.

Pizza and Pages

Pizza a pages is back!  Teens in grades 5 and up can join Mrs. Conners on the lawn for good pizza and some great book discussions!  Find your summer reads!
